Allison McClain is an illustrator and writer based in Coralville, Iowa. She studied Children’s Book Illustration briefly at the Kansas City Art Institute before finishing her degree at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in 2021. Her booth can be found at art shows around Iowa and sells framed originals, prints, postcards, coloring books, bookmarks, and more. 

      She enjoys going thrifting, riding her bike, and sipping warm tea with way too much honey in it. Her favorite mediums include pen and ink, watercolor, and colored pencils. Rarely does she stick to just one without incorporating a few others into her pieces. She draws inspiration from nature, people watching, and even her own dreams. ​

      As a playful storyteller, Allison illustrates images that bring to life whimsical characters for both the young (and young at heart) to relate to. Bright colors and quaint details are characteristics of her work.
